The news comes as a huge boost for the Super Eagles as Osimhen is the star figure for the African nation. He has scored one goal and registered two assists so far in the continental competition, helping steer them through the group stage and past Cameroon and Angola to reach the last four.
The Napoli star will likely be in the starting XI when his team take on South Africa on Wednesday. Nigeria are looking to reach the final for the first time since 2013, when they went all the way to win the competition in South Africa.
