ToggleFarizal Marlias (Johor Darul Ta'zim)
A shoe-in for the goalkeeper position, Farizal has been undoubtedly the best custodian between the sticks in the Super League this season. Helped JDT to be the meanest defence in the division enroute to winning their sixth straight league title, Farizal has been excellent at the back. A commanding presence inside the box, despite often having very little to do, still manages to come up with the goods when called upon.

Matthew Davies (Pahang)
Ever dependable and ever solid, Davies had another consistent season at right back for Pahang. The captain of the team, he was ever-present in the team that finished runners-up in the league behind JDT. Has an almost telepathic understanding with Mohamadou Sumareh who usually plays in front of him, Davies has this year improved in his forward runs as well as his deliveries from wide position which has created a fair few goals for The Elephants.

La'Vere Corbin-Ong (Johor Darul Ta'zim)
Finally made his international bow for Malaysia this year, Corbin-Ong's exploits at left back for JDT could no longer be ignored by the national team set-up. His long throws made him recognisable last season but the Corbin's performance has been an assuring one for JDT in defence. Quick and agile, he's hardly ever beaten for pace and his knack of joining up the attack often give JDT an attacking outlet on the left hand side.

Mauricio dos Santos (Johor Darul Ta'zim)
It was the unenviable task of replacing a club icon in Marcos Antonio but JDT did so well in finding Mauricio that the former was not missed during this campaign. Slotted in effortlessly, Mauricio's expansive European experience helped him plenty as he had to lead a defence that sometimes consisted of Adam Nor Azlin and other times Aidil Zafuan. Strong and combative, the centre back is a real physical edge for JDT in defence.
